One Man One Guitar is a project created to bring light to the local singer songwriter and includes artists from Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Antwerp & Ghent.

A compilation CD has been made and will be distributed by the artists themselves. A CD release is setup for every town, organized by the artist, for the artist.
The songs have been recorded in the library of an old monastery, which brings a very special, intimate sound.

On Sunday April 11th, a selection of One Man One Guitar artists will perform live & unplugged at Tune Up; starting at 2pm.

Ok, we don’t want to stimulate this too much. But it can happen that one of your records gets damaged and can’t be played anymore. And we know it can be hard to say goodbye, so here’s a good trick to keep it close to you.

and if you really start getting the skills, the next level is yours

The dvd King of Punk: the relevance of a 3-chord revolution, has found its way to Tune Up.

The documentary includes interviews with members of legendary punk bands like the Ramones, Adicts, Exploited, Avengers, Dead Boys, UK Subs, Zeros, Wayne County & the Electric Chairs and many other artists who were involved in the Punk scene between 1976 and 1982.

It also profiles OBGYN, an all-girl punk band based in Fayetteville, N.C., and Patrick Clement, owner of FNS Records.

The film’s title, which is based on one of OBGYN’s song titles, doesn’t refer to any one person. That’s the whole idea of punk, that there’s no idolizing. Anybody can do it … everybody is the king of punk.

Thanks to Julie & Kenneth (www.etit.us) for the dvd’s!

Last Sunday, Tune Up welcomed the 1st grade bachelors ‘graphic design’ of Sint-Lucas Antwerp. The students presented their sleeve cover designs made for Ian Dury’s single: Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll.

A good 80 people faced the stormy weather to have a look at the 160 cover artworks and to enjoy the opeing speech of performance poet Andy Fierens.

Thanks again to Ronald, Andy and all students!

The expo runs till April 30th.
